Is our company data safe when using AI?
It depends on the product, licence and configuration. Before rollout we review access permissions, retention settings, connected services and the provider's current terms. These controls can reduce risk, but no AI deployment is risk-free and existing access permissions remain important.
Where do we start with AI in our business?
We start with a simple conversation. We ask: "What is the most repetitive task your team does every week, or the question your customers ask most often?" We map that specific process and build a pilot to show what's realistic.
Does Copilot or ChatGPT use our company data to train its models?
It depends on the product and licence. Microsoft 365 Copilot and the business and enterprise plans of tools such as ChatGPT state that customer data is not used to train their models by default, while free consumer versions can work differently. Before rollout we check the current provider terms, retention settings and which tools your staff already use.
Which Microsoft 365 plan do we need for Copilot?

Can we stop staff pasting client data into public AI tools?
Yes, to a large extent. Depending on your Microsoft 365 licence, we can configure data loss prevention policies and sensitivity labels, and restrict access to unapproved AI websites. We combine this with a short AI usage policy so staff know which tools are approved. No control is perfect, so we explain what remains possible.
